The exhaust cam VVT tables in the 5.7 operating system need to be offset to work with the 6.4 due to not being able to change the core values in the OS.

There's s thread here somewhere, started by user "Homer", where Hemituna gives a good description on how this works and why.

In short, the 5.7 OS is only going to know cam positions for the 5.7 cam, which is 125 for fully advanced. I know the 6.2 Hellcat cam has a fully advance value of 134, so 9 difference. So to make a 6.2 cam work in a 5.7 OS, you essentially take the cam tables from the 6.2 OS, subtract 9 in every cell of the cam position table, and load it to the 5.7 OS.

For the 6.4, you would do the same (but use the delta between the 5.7 and 6.4 cam fully advance numbers of course), and then update all relevant tables.

you can either tune it or I can put the 6.4L OS/ Calibration on it if you want to ship it over to me. The 5.7L and 6.4L use the same PCM

I can unlock it as well and I do not need a read of the pcm. I can even change the vin.

This table is from a stock 392. Now I'm going to subtract 9 degrees to get the offset correct. This is for the WOT cam timing.

Do the same thing for all of the exhaust tables. Highlight all of the numbers in the table and type in -9 and hit the + sign.

Don't mess with the CALIBRATED table. It should be the same in both tunes anyway (100 in ever cell except the last one)

The Desired Angle NORMAL table is what is referenced for cam position when WOT is not being commanded, so that's the part throttle cruise cam position table.

The MAX TIP table is only referenced if the functionality is enabled by [ECM] 36059, which should be disabled by default. So you shouldn't have to worry about that table, as it'll never be referenced .... but does no harm in updating it.

The WOT Desired Angle BASE table is what is referenced for the cam position when wide open throttle is being commanded.

The WOT Desired Angle MAX AIRFLOW table I'm not too sure about. I wonder if it's used as an input into the ANN maybe? Not sure, maybe someone else can elaborate.

The Min Desired Angle SCAVENGING table shouldn't need any adjustment, as I believe it is the same for the 5.7 and the 6.4 OEM tune files, but go ahead and check it.

No, I wouldn?t change those. Not sure if they ?should? be changed, but my gut tells me no.

skimping on the tune and making all the adjustments yourself should offset some of your expenditures
