how to get more car support, 02 LS1 actually

what do i actually ask for to get and 02 Camaro/Firebird support to my 04 Truck and 00 C/F HPT when I send them the paypal order??

its based on generic credits
comes with 8 credits when you purchase HPT
you apply the credits as necessary
you can apply the credits to 1 vehicle or to a group of vehicles

I bought HPT long time ago back when it was 1.6 but upgraded to the lastest 2.1.8 or somthing with the serial cable. it was for a 00 LS1 fbody and a 04 4.8-6.0 GM truck
how many credits would i have gotten?
so, I can just tune the 02 LS1 car with my setup now?

EDIT: I looked and it only says Camaro/Firebird LS1 2000... doesnt say anything about other years?

whatever is on your old interface gets transfered to the new one..
when you buy an upgrade to the MPVI you do not get teh 8 credits that come with a new unit

any existing liscenses you have get converted to upgrade credits towards othet things...

wel...your liscenses turn into upgrade credits..
in your case those become upgrades toward unlimited Gen3 cars or Trucks respectively
and then to actually get those unlimited things you would purchas the remaining necessary credits to do so
you can look at your MPVI liscense info and it will tell you how many upgrade credits you have and how many more you would need for other stuff

okay, I think i read that I can keep my serial EIO interface and pay $49 per car.
so I can read the VCM on another year so I can send it to HP Tuners for the vehicle I want to add??

No.

Log into the customer login page, then click the Upgrades section..

It will show you a list of all the things you can do, add licenses, upgrade your interface, etc.. everything that is available to you, in a very detailed instruction set.

Once you upgrade to the USB hardware yes. You are currently using the older serial interface which uses completely different licensing that can be found on your customer page as stated.

Looks like you have 2 year/model licenses, so the next two are $199 ea. and all after are $399 ea., per the instructions on the customer login page.

If you upgrade to an MPVI interface, you license as the supported vehicle page says.

You can add licenses to your current interface.

Please read the customer login updates page, it instructs you how to do so in detail.

You're over complicating this.

Just read the instructions on your customer login updates page and do what they say word for word. If you still have troubles understanding those instructions then please e-mail sales and Jay can walk you through the process as well.
