What do you think happend, check pics

What do you guys think happend?
I think it went lean, but from what? I have 42lbs injectors that I have sent off to get tested. I have a stock fuel pump also.
I will post a copy of my tune soon.
I have already built a new motor that is in the car now.

stock fuel pump was probably dropping pressure off, but the 2000-2001 camaro ss had a recall for ringland failure on #7 I believe too.

May want to check with your dealer, I know a few guys down hear got new motors due to oil consumption, and engine noise issues..

that may be a good idea, I know it burned a lot oil. Only thing is, I dont think it caused the melted pistons

I had a similar problem in one of my circle track practice engines. It is detonation! I had two pistons do the samething but worse. The two cylinders were too lean (due to a vacum leak in the intake) plus 32 degress of timing on cast pistons. I use forged pistons on my race engines and have never had a problem with 32 degress timing at 7000rpm.

also I meant to ask you did you eliminate knock retard in the tune somehow or disconnect the knock sensor?

Looks like one of your O2 sensors i(B1S1) is flatlined.... had the same problem, it was a broken O2 sensor wire in the harness.

I am not seeing where you even logged the commanded fuel...

WHOOPS! sorry.... I had 4 files open when I replied, and the one with the high PE wasn't yours :-) yours is commanding 12.9

I expect on a dyno though, you'd have found no real gains past 26-27 deg timing.

I wonder what caused the lean out, maybe the stock fuel pump!

    waay lean

This is more than just detonation, way to lean at some point. I will say that a/f can be perfect and at the higher hp levels this can happen in 1 second at high rpm moving a lot of air. I had 1 motor cut right through the piston rings and notched the cyl.and the piston looked just like that. Fuel pump failure caused that 1 at the ~600 or so level.
