the year/model license will write an unlimited number of PCMs with an OS for that particular type of 04 vehicle (example, 04 GTO, then you can modify any PCM w/an 04 GTO OS on it)

I am mainly curious if an 04.5 LLY is considered an 05 or an 04.
I haven't checked but I think it runs the same OS as an 05 LLY.
From my standpoint an LLY mid year is an 04. Just checking before I buy an
04 Silverado unlimited That I will be able to use it on both for 04.
I'd like to make sure from HPT's standpoint it's not considered an 05 because of the OS it uses.

The year is determined by the year code of the VIN.
