    Any Chance????

I am in the market to upgrade my current Lincoln Welding machine a 1951 SA200.I
The machine below I am interested in, esp. if HPT would have anything to do with it?
I will find out what computer controls the 3.0 GM L4.

Just taking a shot in the dark........

    Yes, if it's possible.
I am looking at buying one (200G)

Great Welding machine, but if something goes wrong, you must take it to a Lincoln dealer, to get hooked up to the computer to see what is wrong. The also have problems adjusting to Altitude.
I'm already tuning coworkers Trucks/SUV, why not Welding Machines too
Any advantage I can get to Beat X-Ray, I'm all for it

    lol..

Unless your welder runs a GM ECM or an automotive controller that supports SAE diagnostics.. the answer is..... no chance.

Take a pic of the controller, if it has one as I'm curious what they look like.

With each weld being visualy inspected and X-Rayed, your job could be on the line with every rod you burn, it is very important that the machine is running at its peak. Adjustments are always being made to RPM's, HI Idle/ Low Idle ect., and with a fuel injected machine you are limited with what you can do.

    Pic coming soon

At my work a while back I setup a program that locks the welds so only our q.c. department & I can change the welders parameters with my laptop or a pda. I know it had a histograph on it to monitor different things. I believe they were lincoln welders also. This was on a subarc machine, but I could change the parameters on the other welders also. I will have to check out the program for you.

We basically have the same welder control, but it is not portable welder. Go to Lincoln.com & download the welder management programs. Check that out maybe that is what you are looking for. We were having a problem with the welder not working right once in awhile, by having the histograph I could see the voltage problem. Licoln can also help you fix aproblem & they also do not have to be on site, if you have the programs setup right.
