Need help tuning idle after cam swap

I really don't think this is totally related to the cam swap but I have no clue what the problem is.

I have a histogram to log idle trims that I should be able to copy and paste into my RAF table but the number that I'm getting are off the chart. It idles fine when warm but on a cold start it will die and even with me giving it a little throttle runs very rough.

It's showing STIT's of 32 which I'm assuming is the max. Once it warms the STIT drops down to level that still need to be tuned but what I would consider normal.

Is there something else that I need to look at? What am I missing? It runs great when it's warm so I'm pretty sure there isn't a mechanical problem.

Here's a copy of my IT log and my current tune. Any pointers are greatly appreciated. Mods in sig.

Oh yea, if you look at my tune the RAF values for P/N have been greatly increased but it's still asking for a lot more.

I would add 6-8* to the idle base spark tables.

I'll be glad to give it a shot if you think it would help. It is idling rough and I have noticed that the timing jumps around like crazy when it's idling. I'll post the results tomorrow or Monday.

I just tried that on my lunch break. It seemed to have smoothed the idle a little but the ECT was only down to about 100deg. The real test will be in the morning when it's completely cold.

it took me a few tuning sessions from cold to get mine right so you may have to do it a couple of times

I think that I'm on my way to getting it. It seems that the IAC was maxing out. I have a '02 with a throttle cable and an adjustable throttle stop. I just turned in the the throttle stop a little and it helped a lot. Now it's asking for more normal numbers.

Again, the real test will be when I can test it in sub freezing temps. I should be able to do that this weekend.

It still needs to be tuned but I logged it this morning and it's asking for some obtainable numbers and the IAC is no longer maxed out. It should be simple from this point. I just need some cold weather.

I'm starting to figure that out. Just for kicks and giggles, I logged it tonight. Again, it wasn't as cool as it should be to do a RAF log (ECT of 105) but it's asking for lower values than it was this morning.

It's almost like that heat soak is causing higher IAT and that is causing lower desired RAF regardless of ECT.

Is there something that I'm over looking or something else I should be looking at or should I just shut this computer and forget about it until in the morning when the ECT's will be down into the low 40's/high 30's?
