Does anyone know what ecm this is and if can be tuned like any other GM ecm? I have more pictures if you need them... It looks like a E67 to me.

Probably E67, definitely not E38(which only has two connectors).
Check for a stamping of E67 on it as production pcm's were marked.

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Yeah it's stamped "E67". Does anyone know if it can be re-programed or messed with any? This came in a harness kit from GM. by the way.Originally Posted by Bill@HPTuners
You'd need to read the pcm to see what information is contained within, worst case scenerio would be you'd probably need to load a valid file into it.

It is an E67, says it on the case. I'm afraid to try to write it because it's the only one, I don't want to turn it into a paperweight. A 2006 CTSV uses a E67 as well. THat's what I would try if I was going to try. Anyone have any other suggestions?

E67 is used in the V8 Cadillac's a lot. Not much in the Chevy V8 lineup.
Wonder if it's a "Crate LS7" pcm specifically programmed by GM as a crate PCM.
You should be able to read it.

Bummer...

It looks like a NorthStar PCM... At least the one in Greg Banish's book....
any more news on HPT being able to read one of these?
I am seeing the same reading on a GMPP Crate LS3 Controller. It's a stand alone harness intended for the crate engine market. I know that they use CTSV Controllers with specific tunes for non emission crate engines intended for pre emmission vehicles.
They offer several engine configurations such as the LS7 and LS3.
I am wondering if because it's a non conventional VIN the HP Tuners software won't recognize the file.
The tune is for the unmodified crate engine. I would like to change the cam and heads and want to tune this computer.
Anybody have any ideas??
Robin
Its a combination of the vin & operating system since they have a non conventional vin our software doesn't recognize what type of controller it is, we are working on a solution for these pcm's but I don't have a timeframe at this moment.Originally Posted by Robin

Or should I just buy a new pcm.
Thanks for the help.

You could probably write a valid E67 file to the pcm via tech 2 but that looks like the only other option at this point. Even when we get the writes working the vins on these things seem to be so odd the vin will probably need to be changed to something valid(still early so Im just guessing).Originally Posted by Robin
