Its been a few months since theres been an update from the HP Tuners team, and 1 year 2 months since I asked about "AUTOTUNE"

Has this feature been "Officially" taken off the books for development?

I know a lot has been going on in the tuning world with new vehicles coming out, Dodge and Ford support, but just looking for a simple answer, yes or no....

We have hired more engineers and opened up our new office.

While our workload has, at times, exceeded our resources and new projects get added to our development plan some things like autotune have been pushed back.

With that said it is still on our ever growing to do list
and we still hope to have it completed as soon as time permits..

So to answer your question directly no it has not been taken off the books.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

TTT...I have feeling this "Auto" Tune feature was a foot in mouth concerning an option that was never to come to light for us HP Tuner users.

Any updates or reality of this thing ever happening? Been 2 years!

We've made some major advancements in the scanner & editor over the last few weeks that are now in beta and are continually adding more functionality to our product.

We also have plans to hire another software developer to work in tandem with our current software developer which should help move along projects like this in the future.

it will happen, it takes time for the guys to get everything working 100% before releasing it,

personally i would rather them spend more time getting ford and dodge out there and then work on the upgrades for the GM stuff..

The hell, piss on Ford and Dodge, I want more GM stuff! lol

Plus, who gives a crap about "auto tune". Tuning is not hard to do. It will be just as hard with auto tune. I think all these lazy people think it is something that is going to be magical and do things they can't right now

I have seen a friend use the EFI live auto ve and auto MAF feature, I wasn't impressed. I said, tune it the old fashioned way, WB AFR error blah blah, copy paste special %, he went, umm I don't know how to do that I just use the auto feature. The VE table was so jagged and had massive valleys and mt everest peaks, I was amazed that it could even transition from one fuel cell to another.

Amen. Auto-tuning is no replacement for good calibration practices. Too many people are already skipping critical steps in the process (full injector characterization, steady state mapping, etc...) and leaning on the forums for some magical solution. Auto-tune has the potential to make this even worse for those who don't understand what's going on.

One thing we just added is the ability to use derivatives with custom pid's and functions in the latest beta.

Hopefully that will help filter out unwanted transients.

Can we just keep RTT & skip the autotune stuff? I can use the extra screeen real estate for tuning RTT.

You will be able to hide the autotune box from view...

Also, if you noticed, the latest RTT has 2d/3d graphs.

Isn't Autotune the thing that all the new rap songs use now to change the pitch of their voice?
