What is my computer trying to tell me?
I just got done driving my truck and it set off two codes.
1133 - HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1
1153 - HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1
what does this mean? what is going on?

Re: What is my computer trying to tell me?
Front O2s are not showing enough activity to satisfy
the closed loop operation requirements (closed loop
works off switching events, not linear, and needs a
fair number of events to occur in a given period).
Common causes are sensor aging, fouling, and thermal
(such as headers which can make them too cold to
work).

Re: What is my computer trying to tell me?
is it possible to tell the computer to enter closed loop sooner then?

Re: What is my computer trying to tell me?
No, problem is that's already tried, and not gotten
the kind of sensor activity it needs to work so it
files a grievance wit da union.
Raising the closed loop enable temp, might help
(or not), making things have to be hotter before
trying.
If you have headers then look into wrap, higher
wattage sensors ('vette rears) and stuff like that.
If this is stock manifolds and an older car, realize
that O2s do crust up and need replaced every so
often (30Kmiles or so, some people say) even if
other stuff is normal.
Log your raw O2 voltages and look at the activity,
compare it to waveforms like these (especially at
idle & low cruise):

Re: What is my computer trying to tell me?
Thank you very much for the help.
Are these codes going to tell my computer to change things on my tune?
If so, should I tell my computer to not even recognize these codes?
