Max Line pressure & Base Shift Pressure vs Tor

    Hi all quck question.
In regards to Max Line pressure can this be increased above 96 also Base Shift Pressure vs Torque vs Gear can this also be increased above 96. We were playing around with my mates car last night and basically he wants his tires to chirp pretty much all the time when WOT. I tried upping these figures but they keep reverting to 96. The shifts are nice and hard but it wont break traction. Is 96 the max you can go? Are there any other settings that may need tweaking? All torque management has been removed on this particular vehicle. Any input would be appreciated.

    Best Regards

i dont have the software on this comp to look at, but I think there is a WOT pressure table in that same section if I am not mistaken. I copied my normal shift pressure table to performance table and then got my values perfect, then copied it over again. Seemed to work real well.

96 is about as much as you can go. If you want firmer than that, then I suggest a shift kit, which is what your mate should have gone for in the first place. Too much line pressure kills trannies. There is a point where it just bleeds off excess presure into the tranny lines, no matter how high you go.

What kind of vehicle is this? Some have too much
traction control stuff going on to let the tires bark.
Then there's all the torque management. The line
pressure itself is probably not the problem (at least
my car would scuff from stock, spin w/ TM removed
and shift pressures upped, and now with a converter
and higher gears it's pretty unmanageable despite
not having that much in engine improvements. That's
    what the newer, still-sitting-in-the-box converter
with the lower STR is for.

Wheelspin on shifts is amusing and all, but it is
only another distraction to deal with when you are
trying to maximize acceleration. Hence the funky
traction control throttle stuff on newer models.
I know, I know, gotta have it. But still.
