    Flashing a reman computer.

Flashing a reman computer. Can you flash a reman computer with HP Tuners software? Or do you have to have it flashed and then make the changes to the program. This is on a 97 Corvette.

If you have a 97 LS1 program you can do a Write Entire on it.

I flashed the new PCM with wright entire PCM and did the vin and vats and the car will not turn over with the key. So I tried to put the old pcm and it does the same thing . Nothing. Is there something I am missing?

Car won't start or the starter works but car dies?
If the latter, try disabling VATS temporarily and see if it starts and runs.

Thanks!!! It started after I disable the VATS. Now how can I turn it back on without the same problem?

The VATS relink procedure for Gen III engines takes 10 minutes - no less:
    1. Try to start vehicle - it may start and stall or not crank at all
    2. Very Important: *Leave key in on position*
If you turn the key off you have to start all over again
    3. Click on Relink VATS on the Flash menu
    4. Wait 10 minutes
*Security* light on dash will go off after 10 minutes
    5. Pull key from ignition
    6. Wait 10 seconds
    7. Start vehicle
If the vehicle doesn't start, repeat the entire procedure as a step may have been skipped.

YES. Unless you have the model year license.

Actually, the process takes 30 minutes, as you have to go through the cycle 3 times (with a start on the 4th try).

Correct only if you don't use a Tech2 or you don't use the BCM Relink procedure above. It works correctly in 10 minutes with the HPT BCM Relink on all the vehicles I have used it on.

Hey Guys, I am still pretty new to HP tuners and GM vehicles and PCMs. Will the Vats stop a P01 pcm Fuel pump relay 12v signal?
