    KR with torque converter lockup

This car doesn't get KR unless the TC is locked up. Anybody have any theories on this one? I realize there is more load on the engine but it doesn't even ping at WOT.

Re: KR with torque converter lockup

I think the lockup is holding you at a lower loaded RPM
than you'd see with the converter unlocked, so maybe
exercising CylAir*RPM cells you might not normally hit /
    have tweaked in?

Or do you see KR for the exact same CylAir*MAP cells
that are ping-free with the converter?

Check out the cell prior to first KR jump.

One thing about locked is, on an opening throttle the
unlocked converter will let you slide on up in RPM and
down in CylAir some, while the locked holds you down
in RPM and CylAir goes up more. The latter wants less
spark than the former. If you have to tune for both
then you will run less spark.
