Invalid Cable ID?Unable to read VCM?

I was able to get the software and drivers installed, I can open the editor and scanner. However, when I try to read anything It states "Invalid cable ID you do not have license support for this interface". When I try to use the HELP>LICENSE INFO>HP It doesn't pull up anything. I also noticed that the S/N on that screen does not match the one on the box, the last two digits are different. When i try to use VCM Suite Info it cannot detect the VCM. What do I need to do to be able to read the vcm, where i can look at my current tune? I am sorry if this should be obvious, I have tried the search but cannot find my answer.

Send support a vcm suite infolog while connected to your interface so we can figure out whats up.

    Thanks,

I have now tried to read multiple cars, with the same result, so that should narrow it down to my comp or the soft/hardware from HP.

Yeah it looks like you are using the wrong application key for whatever interface you received from the reseller. I've responded to your email so I can get this resolved for you asap.

I'm dealing with the same thing right now. I need to right the application key down on my HPT device so I don't lose it again

    Email sent to Bill!

All squared away! I don't think Bill sleeps. We've emailed back and fourth at all times of the day and night and he's almost always had a response within an hour or two.
