    MAP P0106 Question=cam?

    MAP P0106 Question=cam?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Long story short.......
I swapped in a cammed, but stock ( I do have LT's ) LS2 in my 2005 GTO. The motor ran fine in the car it came out of. Other than some start up issues I fixed, I did not adjust the idle rpm, it was set correctly....fyi
I installed the motor without taking any sensors apart ( I unplugged the engine harness for the swap ) and re-tuned for start up without a problem. It now starts up on first try without any " gas pedal " or excessive cranking.

    BUT

Now when it warms up, it goes to a high idle ( 1300 rpm ) with SES light [ECM] P0106 MAP Performance ( pending ) ( current ) ( immature )
I also get a P0300 and P0507, but I think they are directly related to the MAP issue.
I swapped the MAP with a spare I have, but that wasn't the problem.

Is there a tune adjustment I need to make to compensate for the lower vacuum of the motor?
    Thanks.....

Might be in the Engine Diagnostics section. Check that out first. Generally there is a MAP sanity check and you can adjust the stock values (usually 65 & 55 Kpa) to a wider spread because of the camshaft.

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Ok I did a check as outlined in the link and it says I should have about 5V at the MAP. I have 12V????? WTH?
    Any thoughts?

Yeah, you need to trace the MAP wire back to find out why it has 12 V on it.
