Why are the Knock Sensors and Spark Retard Parameters so different from a 2007 Mustang GT to my 2008 Mustang GT?

why is the Knock retard limit on the 2008 have positive numbers on the 1.0 load?

Someone at ford decided to do things differently, or, which is more often the case, the hardware changed and required a software change to account for it.

IE, the 08 GT500 gets a lighter balancer, so ford re-does the strategy to detect missfires since the mass of the balancer has changed compared to 07s, that, along with some slight EVAP differences since the fill tube routing changed, is the only difference between 07 and 08.
