Vin would need to be a valid one for whatever operating system you wind up using according to GM's standards http://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web this is what also allows us to offer year/model licenses.
If you go to a 2 bar SD custom operating system on the new pcm you would need to relicense it for that new pcm.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Bill I fried vcm when trying to download 2 bar sd, Would a vcm out of 01 trans am work i have one of those. WHat about Calibration. and vin
car is a 98 c5 vette, i know i can change vin # w/ hp tuners what about Calibration
