How do you...computer use MAF sensor full time?

Is it possible to get the car to run off the MAF sensor only and ignore the VE table? I think this could be a good tuning tool for trying to get a good MAF curve. Make it a a feature that could be turned on and off.

Even better yet, can we get the a feature that allows us to pick how we want the car to run, as far as what sensor to use. This would eliminate the un-plug the MAF bs. Say something like this:

    Airflow Sensors
    Normal
    MAF only
    VE only
    Constant 50/50 Blend

This could help me out alot...it can also cause alot of headaches but I think it would be worth it.

Damn Chris, I thought I was a genius and thought of something good and you beat me to it . Excellent, I'm a hard guy to beat ;D .

BTW: I now can not wait for 1.6.0 , this will work great with the new EIO interface and a wideband.

Sweet...I think I'm going to go to bed on this great note.

If this type of thing is possible through the computer, is there any way that the computer could be told to go by the MAF sensor until the MAF limit, then after that to completely ignore the MAF and go by the VE table?

    it does that by default.

Then why do people keep saying that beyond the MAF limit the computer loses the ability to adjust to weather/temp conditions? Wouldn't it still be making adjustments through the ltrims and strims?

I'm an idiot, I just put 2+2 together that if your FI and exceeding the MAF limit, you are also off the VE table since you are beyond the 1 bar MAP, so you essentially don't have any sensors giving reliable airflow information.
