    VCM scanner

I think it'd be a nice feature if you could move values around in the table & gauge sections. I usually like to organize what i'm looking at and it'd be alot easier if you could just click and drag the values to where you wanted.

    Just a simple addition

    Re: VCM scanner

That is what we have planned for our version 2 of the scan tool.

    Thanks!

    Re: VCM scanner

    1) The VCM Scanner output for MAF is un-usable vs the spark map, there is
no way to correlate what the maf is
reading to the spark map, (To see where in the map the ecm is looking). You
need to change the output of the VCM Scanner
to match what the map looks at. (Using Diacom on my 89 Vet, I can correlate
LV8 and RPM and tell EXACTLY where
the ecm is looking on the spark map and make appropriate changes).

    2) It's probably a hardware fault on my end, but using the VCM Scanner,
when I got to WOT and higher rpm's the VCM scanner
crashes, saying "Stack Overflow"?? (I'm trying to remember the words it
    flashes quickly).
Any ideas on how this can be fixed?

RomansDesigns, We believe both of these issues to be resolved and will be e-mailing out updated software shortly.

    Re: VCM scanner

I ran the update and it fixed the crashing of the program (Due to
    stack overload) at higher rpm's.
But the VCM scanner still puts out a maf reading that doesn't mean a lot!
I have a scan (Alan5scan.log) attached and this log file is after I
completed the update you sent. I also have a log file
that was completed before I did the update and the outputs look identical.
The alan4 scan shows a max maf reading
of 30. I found an excel spread sheet on the internet that allows me to plug
in the maf flow in grams/sec, the rpm and
the spread sheet outputs the grams/sec/cyl but it doesn't put the decimal in
the right place. So I'm still kinda guessing where
on the spark map the engine is running.

there is a PID in the scanner called (i believe) Dynamic Airflow. That will show g/cyl.
