    That's great news .

Does this mean that anyone purchasing will now buy through Superchips?

    Cool....

not sure if you would need it, but if you need any testing I have a '00 v6 and a '00 Z24 cavalier to play with. Sanford is like 15 min drive.

I can also probably round up ls1 f-bodies, maybe some GTPs, locally

    - Is the pricing structure going to change?

    - If I want to add a GM license to my cable, will I be able to still do it the same way at the same cost as of right now?

    - As for the hardware, will you have a choice of a handheld or cable?

    - Will the current owners of HP Tuner products still have the same support?

    Absolutely.

That is what the holdup has been. The hardware and software had to be re-engineered to cover Fords and Dodge.

Yes, there will still be an orders page on our site. Prices and procedures for current license support will remain the same.

No, those are two separate products. More info will be released soon on how both of these products work.

Are any of the Australian Ford's candidates for HPT support E.G XR6 / XR6Turbo , XR8 or any of the FPV cars ?

Re: HP Tuners and Superchips partnership

    here is a question...

let say, I buy a 99-04 Mustang GT... sometime in the future and I already have V2.0

wil it be possible to add my a mustang License to it? Like I could now if I say went out and bought a vette? maybe pay a "minimal"(compared to buying hptuners from scratch) if there are some hardware differences.

May be a bit early to ask this, but just curious.

yeah im kinda wondering the same...if theres a hardware/cable change for fords/chryslers as compared to gm's obd 2 port & what have you and exactly how thats gonna work.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Re: HP Tuners and Superchips partnership

The way i am reading this they made a new cable that supports the protocals ford and dodge use..

so I would imagine you would need v2.0 and a hardware update.. but I am sure what you are asking for will be feasable..

That is correct. Our new USB interface works with GM, Ford, Dodge.
You will be able to license any MFGR/Vehicle with a single interface.

Tune your LS2 Vette, then walk over and tune your buddies Hemi......
If you think that is cool, wait until you find out what Superchips has cooking on their end

Will this affect the way that licensing is structured? Will the new vehicles still be in the same format...ie not VIN locked, just year/model locked?

So Ken, will we be able to scan most (if not all) Big3 vehicles without an upgrade (other than V2.0)? That alone would be very 8).

By the way I am spreading the love.
