Done with Flex-Fuel, ready for more MPG's...

My truck has been commanding a brutally rich 13.46:1 stoich, i'm tired of getting robbed at the pump because the ethanol detector errs on the side of caution due to limited resolution. 13.46:1 is stoich for roughly 20% ethanol, there is no way in hell I have that much ethanol in my tank...We don't have E85 locally and I never tried to put anything other than 93 in my truck...

Solution: I know we have 0-8% ethanol in my area depending on time of year, disable Flex-Fuel and use 4% Ethonol (14.4:1 stoich) as a good halfway point. If properly tuned fuel trims should never deviate more than 4 % and get way better gas mileage 14.4:1 compared to 13.46:1

    Good solution or not?

Its not hurting the cars without alcohol sensors to command ~14.7 all the time. If there are any provisions in the tune that rely on the alc sensor - especially something like timing advance according to alc content (which may or may not exist) - I suggest disabling them too.
