General Q regarding setting Part throt. DS with a Stall

I am dialing in my part throttle down shifts to happen sooner. I have a 2800 rpm Yank Stall converter. I want to lessen the amount of TPS% increase it takes to cause a down shift. They (4>3, 3>2, and 2>1 downshifts) are currently set to happen with a TPS increase of ~20 - 25%.

I want to lessen the pedal travel to about a 15 - 18% TPS to cause a DS.

How will I know if I went too far? (i.e DS happens before stall is fully "spooled up".)

Gosh, I hoped this wasn't a stupid question. I realize that a lot of it will be feel/preference. I was just wondering if there was a "rule of thumb" to initially set it the DS points with a stall.

just keep the downshift and upshift apart by at least 3mph and set the up/down to what you feel is best..

    eg; 10% throttle @ 45mph downshift to 3rd gear and upshift to 4th @ 10% throttle @ 48mph.

    Thumbs up

Excellent. Thank you. Right now the closest they get is at 0 TPS .

    3 > 4 and 4 > 3 are 4 mph apart.
    2 > 3 and 3 > 2 are 3 mph apart.
    1 > 2 and 2 > 1 are 4 mph apart.

All get slightly further apart as TPS increases in a near linear fashion.

You can go look for the Excel 'sheets I have posted
here a few times, or one of my repository tunes, for
    a pedal-proportional kickdown setup.
