VCM Scanner on a obd2 dodge?

i have the hpt suite.. i was wondering if the scanners can read ALL obd2 cars, or only gm? my cousin has a 02 dodge dakota (obd2 obvoiusly..) with a check engine code, was wondering if i would be able to use the hpt software to read the code.. my assumption is it will, since its obd2 but i figured i would check, thanks

won't work... not sure what protocol Dodge uses but I'm rather confident it's not the same as GM

There are three standards out there:

ISO - for European, Asian, Chrysler
VPW - for General Motors (this is the one we use)
PWM - for Ford (Stands for Pretty Weak Motors....I think)

    Unlikely
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
