Are chevys body wiring harnesses modular

I have a complete running 2005 lly diesel truck as a powertrain doner into my 2004 avalanche. As it is complete and running I am assuming that swapping over all the wiring harnesses for the pcm and tranny will be relatively simple. My question is the rest of the vehicle. My avalanche has more options on the inside (navagation, auto climate controls), I was therefore assuming that the configuation of those items are in other computers like the bcm so there won't be any conflicts. I am also assuming that chevy builds the wiring harnesses modular syle so that the diesel wiring harness will clip into my existing body wiring harnesses at relatively convienent locations. Anyone have any hands on experience before I get elbow deep into this. Maybe complete parts diagrams for both trucks would help.
