Camaro V8 Speedo on a V6

I will be taking my speed limiter off with HP Tuners. I was wondering if there was a way I could install the V8 overlay and program the speedo to be correct with that using HP tuners.. Anyone know?

There might be two issues.

1. I have heard that you can adjust the speedometer only so far. You might not be able to adjust it enough.

2. The cruise control will probably not work. When I went from a 3.23 to a 3.42 rear end, the cruise control stopped working. The reported speed was different then the expected speed. Once I adjusted the speedometer, the problem went away. By changing the overlay, you will creat a similar problem.

Simple way to find out is change the ratio right now and run the car. See if you can change it enough and see if the cruise works. I hope I am wrong and it all works for you . Let us know.
