Thread: Can't Download The Update!

    Re: Can't Download The Update!

I can't download it either. I've actually NEVER been able to download ANY update from my home machine.

With 1.5, I get "connection reset" about 20-29% into it. With the older updates, it would 'appear' that the download would work, but what I got was an abbreviated, non-functioning .exe...

I'm on a 44-49K connection on a good day. I've been trying since maye 2pm EST today.

I always have to download updates from work, where we have whatever super-fast connections that corporations use to get out to the world.

    Re: Can't Download The Update!

With our 1.5 release our webserver has a slight change in the way files are sent.

When you download updates now, you should see a xx amount of bytes of 4.3MB or something.

The files on our site are indeed intact and the webserver does not terminate connections prematurely. 99% of the time its related to dialup or a specific browser type.

I'll see if I can fix this for our dialup users.

Any of you who are hoping to get your copy emailed,
make sure you have an email provider or ISP that won't
go bouncing the 4+MB file attachment. Otherwise it's
just as futile and more work. Once the rush subsides
    you will get in eventually.

If you have a friend with cable modem and a CD burner
or a USB memory stick that might be an alternative....
