Do you support the Silverado SS LQ9/4L65E

I see the SS on the main page, but in your V8 section, you don't show the LQ9 engine.

Do you have special maps and tuning to handle the LQ9 engine or is it similar enough to the LQ4 to work correctly?

Do we need a special cable like the LS1 Edit? Or can we connect straight into the OBD11 interface below the steering column?

I have Onstar, do I need to disconnect it to get your program to work?

I think you should send a mail to [email protected],
or at least post the question under a more descriptive
title (otherwise people will think it's just another car
pic somewhere, and may not be inclined to look. Also
check the Order page, that should have the best info
on supported engine types (now and upcoming).

I have an 03 Chevrolet Silverado SS. Red, but otherwise, just like the picture at the top of everyone of your web pages. It has the LQ9 engine with the 4l65E tranny.

Jimmy, thanks. The order page shows the Silverado SS for all the years as the picture of the truck shown, but there is no mention of the 6.0HO (lq9) nor in the tranny section is there the 4l65e...thus my questions.

I looked up the OS for that truck and we don't have it.
I will have to get a copy of it and take a look.

There is no reason we can't support that vehicle, except that you are the first to ask

If there are any unique tables for 6.0L HO, we would find them and include them.

In order to talk to the vehicle, you will need our RS232 to VPW converter cable (included in VCM Suite).

As for Onstar or any other module that talks on the vehicle bus during programming, we are the only manufacturer who does not require the user to pull fuses or remove the VCM from the vehicle during the read/write session.

Yes we support the Silverado SS

The 2004 uses the same 12587603 OS.
So there are no unique tables to the LQ9 motor.

If for some reason there is an OS on a earlier model we don't have, just send us the binary and we can have it done within a day or two.

Last question till I get the kit. :P Do I order the Cadillac Escilade or do I order the Silverado 03? I have an N in my VIN number for the HO LQ9. I don't want to purchase the wrong one only to find out that I have the wrong software and need to send it back. HELP, please. Thank.

Sorry guys, I didn't see this earlier.

I've been running the regular Silverado software in my '04 Silverado SS for close to two weeks now.

    Works great!
