Has anyone reflashed an entire PCM from EFI live 1 bar

I've got a car that has a EFI Live 1 bar OS, HPT cant read it. Has anyone been able to rewrite the entire PCM with a new file from scratch? I dont care if I have to start over on the entire tuneup, just looking to get it tuned.

I have a similar EFI live written PCM here and HPTuner won't be able to do a write entire at all. Checked with support and it was confirmed that it is not possible to write over it.

Ed, Its a custom OS from EFI live, one bar SD enhanced. I assume it would be the same as any 1 2 3 bar or custom OS.

I got that. Shouldn't be any problem doing a write entire to remove it. If it gives you a problem, send me an email. I can send you a replacement PCM and you send me that one back. I keep them in stock.

I've overwritten that exact setup with no issue. If its not locked, just take a file from another car of the same year and change the VIN.

If you can't read it then its probably tunerlocked, if you can read it and you get some oddball operating system like 2020003 in the os id section of the cal details window its just a custom operating system and you can probably write over the pcm if you have the unlimited license.

I've personally never had to deal with trying to write over an efi custom os but it sounds like its possible as long as the pcm isn't tunerlocked.
It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

I've done it also on multiple car's. As long as they aren't locked it can be done.
