    Sharing, Saving Data

The cut-n-past functionality works well enough for local
changes, but it would be nice to have some "higher-
level" data import / export utility.

I have managed to totally avoid doing my job so far this
morning, instead creating an Excel spreadsheet that has
replicated all of the Transmission > A4 Shift Properties
fields (w/ axis labels transcribed, all pretty).

It would be just so spiffy if it were possible to at least
make VCM_Editor dump the user settings formatted
like this, so that users could fish a table from here and
a table from there, the fish-pond being more easily
    stocked by an automated dump-to-pretty-Excel.

Meanwhile there are a lot of pages, tabs, tables to go.
Is there a place where files like this could be hosted,
maybe someone else will be interested to go ahead
on some of the other "sheets" while I'm mucking with
the transmission param ones? I guess for only a few
"early-adopters" I could just email it to the interested.

Importing and Exporting of data between binaries and perhaps even to spread sheets is something that the v2 software will have.

It will probably contain a compare files feature and a dump calibration feature which will save all of the values and such to a text file.

CatSkynr has hosted these files for me, there are stock
and tweaked .bin files for my '02 A4 SS as well as the
transmission kickdown Excel "chunk" and a work-in-
progress Excel sheet meant to provide a calibration
    data means-of-exchange and/or -whatever.

Can you have it dump to say XML? That way it would be easy to develop web apps to share the information,
