    Questions Regarding Upgrades

I am really interested in the Pro version of the software...

My question is this.. I cannot buy all possible cars as of right now.. How is the upgrade process?

Do I have to send my cable back for an upgrade?

    Thanks

Pro comes with 3 selections of your choice, additional vehicles are $399 each. No need to send the cable back.

    Re: Questions Regarding Upgrades

Will the 1998 LS1 F-bodies be fully supported in the initial release? I used the tuner version of Edit when I was doing tuning for Norris Motorsports here in Orlando and it was very frustrating to always have the 98 support lag the 99+. Spending $9000 and then being refused a single update to enhance the 98 feature support made me lose any interest in dealing with Carputing ever again.

From what I've seen so far the VCM suite will definitely hold its own. What would be nice is a complete list (or screen shots) showing the currently supported tables/parameters.

    Thanks,
    Tim

Tim, we will definately do our best to keep the 98 editor as in-depth as the 99+ cars. Keep in mind though that the 98 is a different PCM all together so it may not have all the options that the 99+ does.

    Re: Questions Regarding Upgrades

    Magnus,

Thanks for the response. I understand they are different PCMs and would not expect things to be identical. The issue with Carputing boiled down to them concentrating on the 99-03s and then wanting us to pay for an update that brought the 98 software current (we had never received a single update to begin with).

I'm looking forward to the release of your product. Will the 98 software be available at the same time the other years are available?

    Thanks,
    Tim

We will be releasing the 99-02 F cars and Y cars first, and then will release the 98/97 cars shortly after.
