    How I learned to tune:

Here is what I was told to do in lamens terms, someone else may want to jump in on how effective this is. and weather or not this will work, One thing that has really helped me is V 1.6:
First thing set your idle to 900, if you swapped injectors, make sure you have adjusted for them. Now onto tunning.
Here is how I'm doing it:
    1. Get car up to operating temp.
    2. Go out do some logging, instead of watching the pretty gauges, turn on the histogram.
    3. after filling as many cells as you can, push the stop button.
    4. Now right click and copy all the cells
    5. Open VCM editor, open your VE chart and paste as special(multiply * 1/2%) and paste over the top. save you chart and start over.
    6. Repeat as many times as needed to get all you numbers to -1, -2, 0, 1, 2
Remember - numbers are rich + numbers as lean.
    7. Add 1° of spark everywhere
    8. Re-log using Histogram
    9. anywhere you see knock decrease the spark there.
    10. add everywhere until you get signifigant knock then just go back.

I am completely new to this and I have no idea as to weather this is correct, but it is possibly the most condensed version of how to tune I have read anywhere.

If you have swapped injectors (I suppose if you have done major motor mods), how do you adjust for them?

Did you unplug the MAF and turn off error codes?

Don't forget to hand smooth the VE table after you get the LTFT's in the range you want. Look at the 3-d graph, you want it to be smooth and not choppy.

I changed my injectors, and there is a scale calculation, just ask someone what to scale your injectors by, they'll be glad to tell you.

I guess VCM 1.6 has the copy and paste special and the 1.4 doesn't? I borrowed the HP tuner I am using from a buddy of mine.

Could you elaborate more on what you are doing in step #5?
    Paste as special?

    Thanks in advance.

Re: How I learned to tune:

paste special gives you the option to do math for you. like you can paste what you copied by a certain % for instance. go try it out in excel.
