Im about to buy a Wideband. ????s

I was going to order a wideband today and I am pretty set on the Wideband Commander. Can anyone tell me how long (guess is fine) a WBo2 sensor will last? I dont see the need in getting the analog gauge if it will only be working when I have the sensor plugged in.

Also, I see that you have to calibrate the LM1 whereas the Wideband Commander you dont. Can someone elaborate as to why this is. Is one more accurate?

Has anyone had a problem getting a tach signal on their Wideband Commander?

I believe the wideband sensor should last as long as a stock O2 so long as you always turn the heater on when the car's running....

I had left my sensor in but didn't turn the heater on and it was carboned over and dead after a few months...

On the bright side though... the sensors the LM-1 uses are the same as a VW sensor (Bosch LSU4) and can be had for under 40 bux on the internet

Wideband commander uses the same sensor I believe, not sure of differences though
