Do any of you guys know why I would be getting a connection error all of a sudden with hp tuner saying unable to connect to cable. Verify cable is connected and key is in the run position. It's also saying for cable status: no open ports. I had it working about a week ago- now all of a sudden it's causing problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Joe
Joe, did you install any programs that use the serial port since then?
No Open Ports means your serial communications port that you were using before is nolonger available to windows for use.. Perhapas it is nolonger in existance (driver was uninstalled, port was physically removed), or another piece of software is using it.
