    Deleting Traction Control

I have had a new problem come up yesterday at the track. I had the traction control system turned off. Upon launching the car, it bogged out really bad and I wasn't sure what it was until at the end of the track when I noticed the Traction Control was on again. The next pass I double verified that it was off and sure enough upon launch it bogged again and the light came on. I have 4 channel ABS so I unplugged one of teh rear sensors to shut the system down. Next time at the line, it bogged again but recovered quicker. I did notice that my LTFT were pretty high across the board. +10 and up would this cause that much of a bog off the line? The car ran great after it recovered. BTW I had zero knock.

I cant say for sure on corvette but i know for certain that killing the abs by pulling one of the abs wheel speed sensors put my seville sts into reduced power mode and ran 1.7 seconds slower.
There is no replacement for displacement?&&sure there is, its called a Blower!

    Re: Deleting Traction Control

This is on a WS6 T/A. I don't think it should make a difference by pulling a connector. I need to know why it is turning itself back on and how I can stop it. It never did it before I loaded a tune with HP Tuners. I am going to try and put the origional tune back in and see.

    Re: Deleting Traction Control

If you pull the connector on the pulley cluster
it will fault and the traction control will stay off
and the "ASR OFF" light, on. I think, but don't
know for sure, that this will also make it give
up on commanding spark cut and ABS apply.

Never have gotten around to just removing the
TCS "brain" and seeing what results. You could
try it and let us know....

The PCM, the ABS and the TCS "brain" all have
their own piece of the action (electronic throttle
cars I believe replace the separate TCS brain,
that runs the throttle relaxer and commands
the ABS & PCM as slaves, with PCM control of the
    throttle).
