Just wondering if anyone else has tried using hp tuners with windows 8? I used my fathers laptop that is loaded with windows 8, software installed but will not open vcm scanner nor editor. also there was no prompt to install drivers when i connected the interface. does 2.23 support windows 8? I used this same interface on 2 of my previous laptops both windows 7 without any problems.

I got mine to load yesterday. Expect the normal cant find the drivers thing, but just follow instructions for windows 7 and the drivers were located and worked.
I was able to pull up all my tunes and the scanners. I need to load all my scanner configurations into the file.
I still have to load my wideband software, and tune with it. Ill R&D on my car before I use it on clients vehicles.
Im happy to see we can use the interface again as a stand alone.
Mccarthy, I am having the same issue, I cant get anything to work with windows 8
well I got the drivers to load finally but I still cannot get it to work with windows 8, the scanner or editor will not open
ugh, I dread having to test the software on Win8...

I have tried all compatibility settings and cannot get it to work, This is frustrating and I have a car just begging to be tuned
I need help with this also. Can't even load the drivers.

Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I have win 8 professional.
Maybe those who have it working can chime in on there version.

make sure to try version 2.23.8xx or newer...seems to work fine for most.

I have the new computer with win 8 but it will not open the VCM??? Do I need pro?
I got the drivers to load, but the VCM will not load or start.

For those that have HP running on win 8. Did you upgrade? It looks like just the key enter page will not come up if using a new computer.

I did think that when the SW was sent on the CD it was the newest V, it was not the V that will work with win 8. So all is working GREAT!!
