Laptop ALWAYS restarts when I try to save my VCM?!

The computer had no problem reading the VCM, it read it 100%, but when it asks me to save it and I try to type in a file name, it reboots my laptop EVERYTIME. Any ideas? 98 Trans Am (LS1 with a Compaq TC1000 tablet laptop using a serial to USB cable, new updated version of the software)

This is my first time using HP Tuners, and I did let it read the VCM ID's. I just wanted to download my stock .bin and look at it.

Download the latest driver of the usb to serial driver.

I believe the issue is your USB/Serial driver and/or configuration.

Thanks Keith, I figured out it's the pen on the tablet, sometimes it puts out a goofy reading. I used the keyboard instead and all is well. Thanks again for the prompt reply!
