KR O3ns me
Used LT/ST method in SD
Replaced MAF, after 80mi Lt=+/-4 St =-/-4
@1600/2400 RPM I keep getting KR (1-3)
so I subtracted that amount from HO spark table, and it's still there????
I previously used MAF calc. to calibrate (stock) MAF (KN filter only) =4-5 KR
So I went back to the stock MAF settings which reduced KR to 1-3
TM Abuse is disabled.
All or any suggestions welcome............?????
PIDs????
I have 4" Custom CAI (uninstalled), but I want to get it right from the ground up.

Re: KR O3ns me
This seems very messy. I would go back to stock tune,
and clean the MAF thoroughly with a fast-dry electrical
cleaner like Q-D. Then do the logging and look at the
signs from O2 sensors, RPM, TPS, MAP, fuel air mult,
spark advance to see what precipitates the knock event.
If it's a '98 then there may be knock sensor sensitivity
problems and any motor could develop mechanical noise
that gets picked up. But try untangling the tune first.

Re: KR O3ns me
I cleaned the MAF, getting ready to make 7hr trip, plenty time to log.......
results coming Sun.
Everything was fine, until I moved back to WV and it got colder.
The previous tune that was in for 2mo. was fine, until I started messing w/ it.

Re: KR O3ns me
So I returned my truck to it's original stock tune, drove about 20mi and knock started appearing again.(I'm looking at histograms max. value for knock and avg. for LT & ST)
So I hook up to my neighbor's 02 5.3 bone stock w/ 21k mi.
0's across the board for knock, make LT adjustments by mult. by % and ST by 1/2%, and I'll be damn if KR doesn't show in the same areas as they were on my truck.
Anyone willing to look at Bin's to see where I am going astray?
