    Speed Density Trim dialing failure

    My scans:
I click Average, Load all Data, then:
As you can see I subtracted the Primary VE vs RPM vs MAP
from the VE, LTFTs %(Histogram 3)
as instructed by the old tutorial: http://www.wnyym.com/newbie/tuning_new.htm

and it throws my curve way off, I have a huge spike in my tables/cells now!!

    Am I doing it right???

Im trying to dial in the Speed Density Trims

    In Scanner\average-load all data-right click-select all cells-copy.
    In Editer\open ve table-right click-paste special-add

You want to add,if ltft's are negative(subtracting fuel)you want to add
the negative number to lower ve at that cell.

If you find that you keep overshooting(which i did)you can use paste secial-multiply by %-half.

    its not an add function
Its a % so its always Multiply by %
as you get closer ... then you can do multiply by % - half

and I actually prefer last value when doing LTFT...seems to get me there quicker

You should be able to add?? When tuning fuel trims, they are a % and so is the VE table. So why couldnt you add % to %? I know on something like the MAF curve you would do %.

    hm
so how do I find those -2 to +2 LTFTs?
    like this:
    "In Scanner\average-load all data-right click-select all cells-copy.
    In Editer\open ve table-right click-paste special-add

You want to add,if ltft's are negative(subtracting fuel)you want to add
the negative number to lower ve at that cell."
The guide says (-) is Rich and (+) is Lean

I think I understand what you mean.

This is the only place I've been allowed to post my scans.

The V6 doesn't have the same fuel trim cell operation as the LS1.

There was post here someplace about the V6 trims, i'll try to search for it.

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...
