I'm working with a shop that built a '60 Corvette resto-mod with a 2009 Cadillac Escalade 6.2 and 6-speed automatic with a whipple supercharger thrown on top for good measure. It's a very nice build and we have the engine tune coming together nicely. The builder has asked me to add a little firmness to the normal/cruise shifting as the stock transmission tune leaves it very soft. By taking out torque management I got it to quit pulling timing & closing the throttle blade at each shift. But no matter how much I reduced the shift time or increased the shift pressure (up to 40% increase in x-pattern) I have not been able to increase the firmness of the shifts.
Is there anyone willing to take a look at the attached tune and give some ideas to help increase the firmness? Note - in the attached tune I have returned shift pressures to the values that were originally in the tune as received from the engine/transmission supplier (not sure who that was though).
