2 switched outputs + an ls2 question

The info for the new pro interface says:

4 Analog Inputs (MPVI Pro only)
2 Switched Outputs (MPVI Pro only)

What can you do with the switched outputs?

I'm assuming you can trigger these based on some type of PID alarms...

Is black box logging required to utilize these?

Are the analog inputs differential or do they share a common ground?

Final question, how complete is the ls2 calibration mapping. Is the calibration data pretty well understood or are we in the same boat as the early days of the ls1.

assuming it works that same as the current EIO, the switched outputs let you define rules in the scanner, when those rules are reached the output goes to ground... this lets you excite a relay to activate an external circuit

Not sure if it can be programmed in for black box logging or if it's active scanner (Laptop) only though

How could you set this up to light a bulb when knock exceeds say 1?

Hmm.. So the scanner software has to tell the EIO each session what to log and what to do with the data? Makes sense I guess.

Not a big deal since I would be logging a run when I'd want to know if it was knocking. Ofcourse I wouldn't need the scanner software running IF I HAD THE BLACK BOX LOGGING ENABLED.
