he must have an OS with it showing? Most of us prob don't have it. Hopefully this gets added fast! Such a pain. Nice find JSLLC

I tested this on an E38. Engine ECT 171, injector temp 90, FTrims +1 to +3. Flashed it with table of Zeros. Started ECT 175, injectors 175,FTrims +1 to +3. Flashed it with original data back in from first tune ECT 179, injector 179, FTrims -14 to -18. Now pulling fuel. 20% swing. Flashed back with table of Zeros FTrims +1 to +3 now adding fuel.
    Great work guys.

There are other ways to read the ECM, and quite a few tables exist that aren't mapped to tables you can edit in HPT. Looks like this was one of them.. I'm just glad they're adding support for it.

I tracked the data and mapped Injector Tip Temp vs FTrims. After about 130F trims would go up. Tested it all the way to 200F. It became easy to see it had to be in table because the fuel amount went up with temp on the injectors. All other values stayed close to the same or in other cases went up and down. The only one that change with the fuel value was injector tip temp. Sent that data in a table form to HPT with fuel variance by temp. They took that data and found the table and published it for a couple of test ECMs. Good news is we can stop wasting time.

Will this table be available in older E38's as well, for example 12605732 and your corresponding 2bar OS 1250202?

this is the biggest thing since HPTuners! Thanks again. Still would like to know the reason GM did this though...

Can anyone answer? Is there any downside to keeping this table zeroed out all the time?

I would not. There is a reason they decided to add extra fuel. Usually for cooling. Would not do to ruin an engine for convenience.

The injector tip temp is actually estimated. Since certain memory is lost after a flash, this temp defaults to ECT, which is why if your car is hot, it will richen it up initially regardless of what the actual injector temp is.
