Lol, you need a degree in physics to tune these days I kind of miss doing this for a living, but retired at 50 is also a lot of fun!!

That function doesn't really return a weight or distance, just on or off. Since the input is RPM and 8 is a little low we can guess an actual max rpm is scaled to provide 0 to 8 as input to the function. Don't assume it's 0 to 8000, although that will probably get you close in this case.

Oops, I did not read the previous post correctly. Yes, that will force OP above a certain rpm range if it's enabled. I say that because previous conditions must also be met or the weighting never really gets applied. Sort of an WE ARE IN FE MODE SO STOP CHECKING OP FLAGS thing.

I tune a lot of supercharged +2015 cars and over time developed tunes that work 99%, I cannot for the life of me get Auto trans cars into OP yet Manual cars its no worries with all the same VCT configuration. What am I missing?

Make sure on the autos you are lowering the IMRC OP threshold.

I'll try/check, IMRC is deleted in both instances due to supercharger manifold. PD blower

Kinda a long shot, but set the highest axis value in your DD torque table to 90 instead of 83.33.

The 11-14 coyotes have a defined max phase overlap table to prevent v2v and v2p interference. The gen2 coyotes have different cam phaser setup which made this table obsolete. They just have an intake minimum.

Do you see the OP map weight value change to 100%?

Can someone please share a tune that gets an auto S550 into OP mode for spark, torque, etc?

So when in WOT condition, how do you control what maps are used because I do not see this in HP Tuners software or maybe I am just missing something

It looks like you have a similar file to one Im working with. Trying to get my head around the Ford mapped point logic, but in logging this car it shows 100% in MP 14 at all times idle to WOT? Is that how yours is??

Worth a try but no good.

how much work is involved with disabling the imrc and tuning the vct for them not being there, whether its ford a intake that you locked out the runners or say a boss 302 or cj on a s550?

  19. #119
I've seen several times locked runners sold. Can anybody explain me why people do that? Wht it gives if runners are still there?
