Thumbs up Vehicle Controls & Special Functions

VCM Suite 3.2 brings all new special functions to Chrysler support. Located within "Controls and Special Functions" in VCM Scanner 3.2, you will notice even more controls & special functions than before

    New functions include1:

    • Throttle Relearn: Will perform a throttle relearn for vehicles equipped with ETC.
    • Reset All Adaptives:Resets all adaptives (fuel trims, etc.)
    • Clear DTC: Chrysler Specific DTC Clear. Recommended to use along with the standard "Clear DTC" in "Diagnostics and Info"
    • Gear/Tire Adjustment: Was in 3.0 as well. Change your tire size and/or adjust gear ratios using this special function.
    • Traction Control Disable: Will disable Traction Control. Depending on the vehicle, you may need to do this after every key cycle. (Off-road use only)
    • Traction Control Enable: Re-enables traction control after you have disabled it, if it doesn't re-enable on it's own.

1(Available functions may vary depending on what your vehicle supports)(Currently only for 2007+)

Connect the vehicle to VCM Scanner and press the button for Vehicle Controls & Special Functions. (it looks like a green power button on the toolbar)

If the Charger is equipped with a NGC3_CAN PCM, then not yet but we will look into it shortly.

If the Charger is not equipped with a NGC3_CAN PCM, then these will not be available.

Guessing same issue for me, my 2006 SRT8 300C is equipped with NGC3_CAN. Also still waiting for the fix for gear ratio change, does not work on my vehicle, emailed support about it on June 7th, have not heard anything yet, still have Diablo married to computer to make the change. Aware of the ticket. We are working on it but have no ETA for the solution on that.

I just tried as instructed and I did not find the new functions. I have a 2010 Jeep SRT, if that makes a difference.

If you connect to VCM Scanner and click on the green power button, a window should pop up, even if it's blank. Email support with a VCM Suite Infolog and a screenshot of the screen that pops up.

Just a quick update on these features for CAN Based NGC3 PCMs....

    1. Reset All Adaptives is Now Available
    2. Clear DTC is Now Available
    3. Traction Control Enable/Disable needs to be tested by a user***
    4. Still looking into Gear/Tire Adjustment solution.

***If anyone would like to test "Traction Control Enable/Disable", please email support. Make sure to inform support that you would like to test Traction Control Enable/Disable for Dodge NGC3_CAN equipped vehicles. Make sure to include a VCM Suite Infolog and your .HPT file in the email.

Thank you very much. This made disabling traction control very easy for a dyno operator not familiar with the modern hemi.

Resetting the adaptives'? Is this something we should do periodically? I would like more info on this.

It's useful when working on your VE table since the fuel trims don't reset after a flash. Resetting the fuel adaptives lets you start from "zero" for each tuning iteration.
