Hi ModchipMan,
I'm very interested in how you built the Digital to Analogue converter. Could you help me in order to use my lm-2 with HP Tuners?
Thanks.
Hi ModchipMan,

Old thread, I have always had this issue too. I did not realise that the lm2 did not have a true analogue signal.
I will say that I used the LM2 analogue outputs into my Haltech Elite 2500 and ran full closed loop fuel control. The readings were very very stable and accurate to the gauge. All I had to do was adjust the voltage settings in the haltech and done.
Sounds like a failure of the integrating capacitor. I refuse to believe they intentionally shipped a design like that.
Hi, reviving an old thread. I have posted on this several times and still can't display actual Lambda in Scanner.
My setup is:
* MPVI2 - USB connection to laptop
* LM2 - Serial connection to USB converter cable - Then separate USB connection into laptop
I see the LM2 in Scanner under External Inputs"

If I open the native LM2 app, I see actual AFR displayed in Lambda.
I have added the channel in Scanner, I use the transform function of the output which is displayed in AFR:

The EQ ratio reports as being in Lambda, but has a number in the 400 to low 500 range:

Anybody know what the fruit I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
Dave

eXo, TOTALLY SORRY. I missed this. I will try this tonight.
Last weekend I used the STFT/LTFT GMVE formula. It did work, but it seemed to require extremely a significantly more deliberate driving style then when using a WB.
I do have one question. If I use the WB GMVE formula we've talked about, is the parameter 50119.238 still applicable?
Thanks,
Dave

50119 is a generic EQ sensor. I would replace that with the LM-2 lambda channel if you can get it working correctly. Also, you may or may not need to use the transform formula above within the actual GMVE formula(so don't forget the parentheses). It will depend how the channel imports into the custom math parameter section.

eXo,
I finally got my LM2 working correctly with Scanner in Lambda. Appreciate all the support. Scanner now properly reports: 1) VE Lambda error, 2) MAF Lambda error (high and Low), 3) GMVE WB Error, 4) GMVE STFT error, and 5) GMVE ST/LT FT error. I'm not sure I will use all of these graphs, but was on a roll and did them anyway.
I would like to confirm the following GMVE tuning assumptions:
1. When doing any GMVE scanning: 1) DFCO should be turned off, 2) dynamic airflow is enabled (mine is currently 3600 RPM), and 3) PE is enabled.
2. When doing ST/LT FT GMVE scanning, short-term and (optionally) long-term fuel trims should be turned on.
3. When doing WB GMVE scanning, STFT and LTFTs should be off.
Thanks,
Dave
