    2Bar Map Question

I added a GM 2 Bar map to my car and want to log boost. Does anyone have the volts to PSI conversion for a GM 2Bar (12247571)?

    Thanks

    0v = 0 PSI, 5v = 29.4 PSI, linear

    Isn't a 2 bar only 15PSI? so would it be 0v-0PSI and 5v-15PSI?

    Thanks

No, 2 bar is 29.4 PSI, the first 14.7 psi is negative (atmospheric pressure is 14.7 PSI give or take depending on altitude), so from full vacuum to WOT on an NA car is 0 to 14.7, which is where boost gauges usually read 0psi (psig, above atmospheric).

It's a PID in the EIO section of the scanner. Look under MAP & the GM 2bar is listed.

The 2 bar in the EIO section maps KPA not PSI.

actually it starts at 9kpa..and goes to 198.65ish

    1.3054 ~ 28.8122 psi range

    volts/0.18177 + 1.3054

    that should get you PSI

or you can use the one already preset and its set up to be 2 bar map...
then you can calculate PSI by doing
    [pid for 2 bar map]*0.14504
    that will also be PSI

The problem I'm having is finding the PID for the 2 Bar Map on EIO Input #3

    Thanks

    see picture below...

right click your EIO input 3 in the scanner....
    click "insert"

double click the 2 bar PID

or are you talking about my "[pid for 2 bar]"
to get that you have to have a 2 bar OS in your vehicle..then you add 2 bar map in the table display..it will appear under engine-airflow-just like the 1 bar map does..it should appear right below that...
