I am tring to go in LM programer to calibrate my wide band. The LM-1 does not recognize that the serial cable is plugged in. Any ideas?

I have the same problems until i used an old laptop with the serial connector.
Still working on it.
Now its working (flowcontrol was changed to Xon Xof)

having the same f'in prob with my LC1...
It's the only thing holding me back from using my wideband
tried it with 2 laptops, same thing both times.....
99 T/A. g5x4 cam. Now trying to figure out how to tune it...
think I might know my prob.
Didn't have the wireless plug in the other analog socket.....
I hope that was my prob, we'll see tomorrow....

I had to buy an adapter to make the LM1 cord fit my usb port. The company that makes the adapter has a web site with a free download that makes the laptop "look" at the usb port as if it were a serial port. But that is the key. Let me know if you need the website.
