Error trying to install .net 1.1

I tried installing the .net framework 1.1, but it says that the file is "Not a valid Win.32 application".

The file that I got is only 8M, and the Microsoft website says that it's supposed to be 23M, so I'm re-downloading again (on dial-up). I just wanted to see if anybody else had had any issues.

I'm using an IBM Thinkpad 650 with Windows 2000, and no recent updates.

    Thanks, John

It doesn't have to be perfect, it just needs to be done in two weeks...

Got it fixed, re-downloaded the net 1.1, came out to 23M this time.
