    2005 gto e38 SWAP

Has anyone ever done this? does it work? Does everything remain functional?

    TIA

I doubt it will work with factory components. I don't know of any E38 OS that will run a 24x crank signal. Maybe if you swapped to a 58x crank setup, but most likely ABS, TCS, BCM, and other modules on the CAN bus will be having issues. Guess its how far you want to go with it. However just replacing the E40 with a E38, I am pretty sure will not work.

It's already a 58x, ABS is deleted and manual trans...but would like the rest of the interior to work.

Like he said, I see no way to make the interior work the way you want it. The modules in your car won't talk the same on the CAN-BUS.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
