I have 05 GTO model and year License; if I buy new ECM from GM will I need any credits to flash my stock ECM file to it (clone)? I have read several things but from what I understand New ECM needs to be flashed out of box. All licenses are stored in interface right?
You will require 4 credits to flash a spare 05 ECM. But why?
You can't kill an 05+ ECM like an 04 and earlier. They have a native bootloader so the ECM is always recoverable with a re-write all.
Yes- the new ECM needs to be flashed as well.
