    2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L V6 Manual 4WD

Because public information on the late model third generation US ranger is extremely limited, I'll try to provide what I've learned so others can use it as well.

    Here's a stock tune for the 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L V6 Manual 4WD.

Of note, the current versions of VCM Editor (4.0.12 and 4.1.631-Beta) don't understand the "transmission" tab. If you change the selection on that tab, the truck will permanently behave as if you aren't holding the clutch when turning the key, and will refuse to even crank over. Just don't touch it. If you do, you'll need this file to reflash with before you can start the truck again.

For people who are interested in changing the gear ratios or changing tire size and correcting their speedometer without involving a dealer (or for non-stock options), the MPVI2 with VCM Editor is currently (Late 2018) the lowest cost option available. FORScan won't help you here, as the required setting is in the PCM's VID block and is unreachable without actual computer reflashing with a tuner.

In order to correct the axle ratio or tire size with VCM Editor, you can just go to the "Speedo" tab, then the "Calibration" sub-tab. Change "Use VID" to "Disabled", and then you can set your axle ratio and tire rotations per mile (calculate via 63360 / (TIRE_HEIGHT * 3.14159)) via their respective settings on that page, then write your changes to the ECU.
