dbw simplified, does target idle rpm matter?
I have a c5 with dbw throttle body. With no idle follower/cracker and no adaptive idle enabled, would idle rpm be strictly dependent on what the base running airflow is? From what I understand the BRAF(base running airflow) denotes how open the throttle blade is at X temperature. so if I wanted a target 850rpm when warm, if I live edit the BRAF to that target rpm, the actual idle rpm table would be irrelevant yes?
Also this ecu is doing no engine management, just throttle body and BCM stuff. My other ecu targets 850rpm using spark to smooth idle. So far its working great and super stable.
